About The Artists
Joseph R. Gorneault, Jr. is an artist known for his use of color, combined with imagination and fantasy. Joe makes his own paint from scratch which enables him to skillfully create his own custom colors. Therefore, in the end, the finished artwork is truly a personal expression. A viewer will notice the unique palette that belongs specifically to this artist.
Heather Stabile Groenstein is an established fine art professional, free thinker and creator of all things colorful and sometimes disturbing. She is also a CT state certified visual art educator with over twenty years’ experience in her field.
Sophie Groenstein finds inspiration from celebrating the warmth of individuality when creating her expressive portrait illustrations. Her distinctive style emanates positivity and expresses the vibrant spirit of her diverse, surrounding community. Through her dynamic color palette, Sophie represents communities of all backgrounds within her work and seeks out opportunities to share their stories. She aspires to pursue her artistic endeavors by giving back to her community through the creation of public art.
Keith Murphy, a comic book creator and licensed professional counselor, began both his art and human services career in 2000. He is the founder and former president of the Comic Book Artists Guild. During his networking years he began a small indie publishing company, Guild Works Publications. He has a background in trauma-related work and is EMDR certified. Recently he finished his TORN prequel book: “Road to Vallhalah.”
Jim Whitten is a conceptual artist who works in multiple mediums to express his vision. He began the brand, SNFFBX, which organizes art events, and offers artist books and art bundles.
Gabrielle Zane is a writer and visual artist who holds an M.F.A. from Bennington College. She works primarily in encaustic and mixed media. Her work has been described as mysterious, evocative, and visceral. She is a member of The Northeast Artists’ Open Studios, Norwich Arts Cooperative, Windham Arts, and the CT Academy of Fine Arts. Additional work can be seen, on Instagram and Facebook at Waxing Moon Studio.
